Hello Scrappy friends!! Happy Tuesday!! I’m a few days late posting this, but I wanted to make sure you knew I had posted a new YouTube video. I’m excited to have this one done too! It’s been a long time in the making. This past weekend I spent quite a bit of time cleaning and reorganizing my Scrap Studio. During all of that I found this old album and decided to finish it up. It was fun to finish this album I’ve been putting off for FIVE years! Hah!
This was the first retreat I went to where I knew most everyone and had friends I could hang out and chat with. It was so amazing!!
They gave us a fun goodie bag filled with product and things we could use to document the retreat. The yellow acrylic album cover and white acrylic ‘scrap gals retreat’ was from Jessica Upton of Color Cast Designs. I knew I HAD to make an album using these products. I started it while I was there at the retreat and did a little bit when I got home, but quickly pushed it aside and didn’t look at it again until this past weekend.
I used Glossy Accents to adhere the Scrap Gals title piece to the front of the album. I also added in a cute little star acrylic piece. I really love how that turned out.
I used a lot of products that they had gifted us for this first page with a selfie of me at one of the Scrapbook stores we went to on the first day we were all together. This was such a new experience for me and it was so amazing to go shopping with all these Scrappy Friends!!
This little mini album was so much fun to make! I don’t make a lot of little albums like this, but every once in a while I get that bug to go out of my comfort zone. I really love making the pages that are different. The “Let’s Party” layout on the left here was really fun to make and I added a little washi tape flip at the bottom. I made that so many years ago for a Get It Scrapped assignment.
I wanted to focus on the photos for a lot of these pages so I made sure to make them pop off the pages.
I made sure to take photos and selfies with all the ladies I got to meet in person for the first time. It was so awesome!! I really hope we can start doing this again soon. I think that’s one of the things I miss these days. Meeting up with friends from far away places.
Make sure to watch the album share below or over on YouTube. I’d love to hear how you document little trips and experiences like this.
