Hello hello my scrapbooking friends! How are you doing today?! I hope well!! I am really, really excited to be here with you today to share a really big announcement. I spent 2 hours scrapping on YouTube Live today, which was so much fun, so that I could make this announcement. If you haven’t heard what the big news is yet, I will tell you now. Drum Roll Please!!!……
I applied to the Stuck?! Sketches Design team last month and I am very excited that I made the team!! Woohoo! I totally didn’t expect to make it so when I got the email from Laura I was just floored! I can’t wait to start creating with her lovely sketches! She’s a very amazing designer! You can visit the blog to see all the other amazing ladies I will be designing with for this term.
You can watch the 2 hour live stream here. I hope that you will enjoy watching the replay. It’s a little more fun to watch in real time because you can sit and chat with everyone. I tried to make sure I was reading the comments as I answered questions and what not so that replay watchers wouldn’t be lost.
Anyway, here are a few photos of the layout I made today:
This is the Stuck?! Sketches sketch I decided to use while scrapbooking this morning. It is the sketch that Laura posted on September 15th. Make sure to head over to the blog to read all about the sponsors and to see the Design Teams layouts. If you make one with this sketch and link it up on the blog you can be entered to win some exciting prizes!
This is the layout that I ended up making. I am so happy with how it turned out!! I used my Secret Not Secret Kit from September and I was so excited with these papers and everything! I just absolutely love the background paper! Isn’t it just gorgeous?!! The sketch called for a little border all around the edge so I used a Jen Hadfield striped navy blue and white paper. It helps that specialty paper just pop, doesn’t it?
The sketch called for 2 little banners in this corner but I decided to use 3. While I was making the layout I just felt like adding one more to create more balance in that corner. I really love these patterns together! When you watch the Live Stream you’ll see me fuss over these banners for a while. I really love how they turned out.
Tags are one of my favorite things to use as a layer. In this case I had to kind of make my own little tag and then I hot glued this cute off white and gold twine on top of it. I really love the dark navy blue and the off white flowers! I was worried that the blue on the tag would be too camouflaged by the dictionary paper on top of it, but they were quite a different shade of blue so they worked perfect together.
For this layout I knew that it was going to be more of just a pretty page and not much story telling going on. I love that my son is walking next to his grandma and looking up at her. He loves her so much and I feel like this photo really shows that. I love these artistic and peaceful moments. The story behind the photo doesn’t need to be journaled about. You can just feel it, whether you know them or not.
I love this cute and simple little cluster with a cute little heart, pink enamel dots and sequins. What more do you need in life besides these fun goodies!! 🙂
Well, I hope you really enjoyed this different kind of post. You can watch the video below or click the link in the beginning of the post. I am so happy to be on this Design Team and I can’t wait to share with you all the layouts I make!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I hope you have a wonderful one!
