Scrapbook all the memories!

Scrappy Challenge

Hello my scrappy friends! I am back today with a fun scrappy challenge for you!! If you don’t already know, I have a group on facebook that I host with Roni Sue Scrapper called Scrappy Challenges and we like to do fun things to challenge us while scrapbooking. It’s been a while since we did a challenge so last week we picked one out and all scrapbooked using it. This time around Jennifer challenged us to scrapbook using a holiday themed collection without a holiday photo or a holiday photo with a non themed holiday collection. I chose to do the latter and I had so much fun using the newish Illustrated Faith You Are Loved collection.

This is the layout I ended up making. I really like how it turned out! This collection is super fun and has really bright and lovely colors.

The embellishments I used were from the Clique Kits December 2016 kit. I really love this kit that they put together!!

These acetate arrows were so cute, I just had to include them!!

I did a little bit of journaling about the photos and I really was happy with how I didn’t go over board with that. I have a tendancy to ramble on with my journaling, but this just flowed really well.

My title was simple and very straight forward. Sometimes, those are just the best title, at least in my opinion!

You can watch my process video below:

I hope you have a wonderful and scrappy week! Make sure to come on over to the facebook group to check out all the other layouts!

Clique Kits February Pep Rally

Hi my crafty peeps! I hope you’re all having a wonderful Wednesday! I am happy to share this layout I made with the February Clique Kits kit, even though it kind of gave me a run for my money. I really don’t know why, but it took me about 2 hours to complete this layout!! And I had to have help along the way from my Scrappy Bestie, whom some of you might know from YouTube as Hannah Lemiuex. It’s so fun to have a friend that can help you along in making a layout when your brain is mush! lol

Anyway here’s my completed layout:

I absolutely LOVED this kit!! It featured the Maggie Holmes Crate Paper collection called Shine. I am so in LOVE with the alpha!! It’s just so fun and different!!

Don’t you just love it?!!

This collection is just so pretty! I can’t wait to make more layouts with it. I am kinda losing my scrappy mojo though so I’m hoping to be able to find some photos that I really want to scrap to get over this little slump.

You can watch my process video here:

Clique Kits December 2015 Kit Layout ~ This Cute Boy

Hello again my scrappy friends!! I have a fun new layout for you today and I used the December 2015 Clique kit for this one as well. This kit was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I wasn’t too crazy about it when I first got it, but the collection in the kit grew on me and I love the two layouts I created with it!

You can find the process video here:

Here are a few close up photos for you to look at:

The year this photo was taken I had started a blog so, for the journaling I was able to go to my blog and write down some of what I had already “journaled” about these photos. It was really nice to actually have real thoughts from that time!

Clique Kits December 2015 Kit Layout ~ Hello Jurassic World

Hello my crafty friends!! I hope you’re having a great week!! I made this layout I’m sharing with you today back in December, but never posted it! I really love how it turned out and I’m so glad I got this recent-ish memory scrapped!!

You can find the process video here:

Here are some close up photos for you to see a little more detail of the layout.

This collection was a lot of fun to work with and I really love how this layout turned out using it.

I wanted to add a cut file of a dinosaur, but I didn’t really like the ones in the Silhouette Design Store so my husband googled for dinosaur skeletons and found this free image of a T-Rex and it was perfect. He turned it into a .dxf file for me and I imported it to my Silhouette Studio software. I cut it out on white cardstock and VOILA! I inked the edges of the cut with black staz on ink and added it to my layout. I LOVE it!!

For the title I just decided to use a wood veneer sticker in the kit and placed it above the photo of the poster. So, it reads, ‘Hello, Jurassic World’.

I used a couple of tags and things from the ephemera pack included in the kit.

And that’s it for today’s layout! I hope you enjoyed this one! I’ll be back tomorrow with another layout using this kit. Thanks for stopping by!

Scrappy Challenge ~ Stitching (hello Love)

Hello crafty friends!! I hope you’re having a great day so far! I am excited to share this layout with me. It is dear to my heart…. we had to put down our black lab, Sirius, in March of 2015. It was a REALLY hard decision to make and follow through with, but it was for the best.

Anyway, I found a layout on Pinterest that I really liked and thought it would be fun to add some stitching to it.

I really loved how simple this layout is! I changed it up a little bit to work for me and this is the layout I came up with:

This photo was taken back in August of 2014. My middle son had just been baptized and we were outside taking pictures. He really wanted to take some photos of me so I let him. My dog, Sirius, wanted to be in them too. I’m so glad I got these photos. We had to put Sirius down in March 2015, unfortunately, and I really cherish these photos now!!

I really love the texture that the stitching adds to this layout. It was a little hard to maneuver the 12×12 page around my sewing machine, but I got it done and really love the result. I used the January Clique Kits kit called Alegria and I really love all the extra bits that came along with it. the hello wood veneer came in the kit and fit perfectly with this layout. I used the big red Alpha that came in the kit as well and decided to do my stitching over top of it. I love the look it gives.

Here’s a close up of the banners at the top of the layout. I used some blue and yellow sequins in each one of the banners.

If you’d like to watch the process video for this layout you can find it below or on my YouTube channel:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I hope you enjoyed this layout!! I’ll be back soon!

Clique Kits January Pep Rally

Hello scrappy friends!! I hope you’re having a wonderful hump day!! It’s kind of miserable and snowy here, but at least that means I can spend some time inside in my craft room, hopefully!

Today I am participating in the January Pep Rally with Clique Kits. I am excited about this layout. I really have loved working with this kit!

So let’s jump right in. Here are some photos of the layout I made to share with you today:

I really like this background paper that had all the phrases on it, but it felt a little busy and distracted from the photo so, to tone it down a little bit I added a thin layer of gesso behind the area where I knew I wanted to put the photo.

I kept the clusters very small and simple with this layout. I really love the heart with the black and white piece here.

I had a few paper scraps just laying around from another layout I made with the kit so I decided to use them and layer behind the photo and make a little paper cluster. I used the 3×4 card that came in the kit as the title and it fits just perfect with the photo and papers.

I think my favorite part of this layout is the bow I tied around the bottom of the photo and on the excess pattern paper.

You can watch my process video below or on my YouTube channel:

Clique Kits November Pep Rally

Hello and happy Thanksgiving Eve!! Are you excited about the big Turkey day? I totally am! Besides the fact that we’re supposed to get a huge snow storm and can’t travel, but we’re still going to have a great day!

Anyway, let’s move onto the layout I made with this amazing kit!! This months kit came with the Wildflower collection from We R Memory keepers. It is SO gorgeous!! I had so much fun using it!! And this layout is probably my favorite.

This is my oldest son when he was about 3. Isn’t he just adorable?!! I’m a little biased, but I’m allowed 😉

I loved all the die cuts that came in the ephemera pack this month!! They’re so pretty!!

And the butterflies were so fun to use as well!

This cluster is my favorite! I’m so in love with the colors of this collection!

Clique Kits October Pep Rally

Hello, scrappy friends!! I am So, so, SO excited to be here today. I have made 5 layouts with this months kit and the first one I made is my ABSOLUTE favorite layout!! I am so in love with the Happy Things collection from PinkFresh Studio. It’s so fun, cute and whimsical.

So, without further rambling, let’s jump right into the layout!!

I don’t want to sound arrogant or anything, but I honestly think this layout is just so perfect!! And I don’t really think it’s because of me! I think it’s all the paper! That background paper is already decorated. I didn’t have to do much to it to make the layout complete.

I added the flair badge next to the ‘this’ printable and there’s a vellum heart above those two. I also added the ‘making memories’ printable to be part of the title.

These are photos of my now 9 year old when he was almost 2 years old. Not to sound braggy, but aren’t they just the sweetest photos you’ve ever seen?!! I know I’m a bit biased, but come on, admit he’s pretty cute! 🙂

The word ‘Smile’ is part of the background. I added the polka dot heart and the flair heart as well as the gold circle sequins. By the photos I added another vellum hear, a paper cut out hear and the ‘Be Yourself’ little rubber embellishment.

This layout was just so much fun to make!! I’m so glad this paper and these embellishments were in the kit this month!! I totally want to go buy more of this paper and hoard it forever! haha

Sketch It Up with Hannah & Megan ~ Brynnan’s Special Day

Hello friends!! I hope you’re all having a great scrappy week! I have a fun video and layout to share with you today! My good friend, Hannah, and I have decided to start a new collab series with each other. We’re going to do a weekly sketch on Tuesday for a month to 5 weeks and then we’ll see if we want to keep going after the holidays.

Hannah and I were partners while we were on the SNL Design Team and it was so fun working with her. Since that finished in June, I’ve missed collaberating with her so I’m excited to start up this series with her!

Let’s jump right in:

I used my October Clique Kit for this layout. I really love all the Triangles and the black alpha I used, which was from my stash, turned out so great! I mixed up the papers, there are some PinkFresh Studio Happy Things collection as well as the Wonder collection. I LOVED the acetate triangle pieces from the Happy Things collection.

I used up some of the wood veneer from the Happy things collection and I really love how it looks on the layout.

I also used some Studio Calico stamps I’ve recieved in past kits. I like the touch that it adds, although I do wish I had just left it at the chevron and ‘so loved’ stamps only.

I popped the photo up to give it a little bit more emphasis since the background was kind of busy with all the patterns and triangles.

Clique Kits August Kill ~ a ~ Kit Layouts

Hi, scrappers!! I have a bunch of layouts to share with you today!! I killed my August Clique Kits kit really well! You can find the video below:

I had a lot of fun with this kit!! I ordered a TON of the add-ons and I’m so surprised I used most all of them up!!

This is the first layout I made and it was for the Clique Kits Pep Rally. You can check out the post I wrote up back in August with the other pictures of the layout here. You can find the process video on my YouTube channel here.

I LOVE this simple and fun layout! These pictures of my oldest son, Jonas are my favorite! He loves eating cotton candy. I used a cut file that came with the kit for the title and I just colors it with Heidi Swapp Color Shine Teal and Butter. There’s no video for this layout, unfortunately.

For this layout I used a Shimelle collection paper for the background. Everything else on here was from the kit. I wanted this layout to be simple and fun because next to this is going to be a PL page with photos that go along with it. You can find the process video for this layout here.

These are the front and backs of the PL pages that will go next to the above layout called ‘How to Build a Fort’. I did a little bit of embellishing on some of the photos, but mainly kept these pages simple. I wanted the focus to be the photos.

You can find the process video for the PL pages here.

This is one of my favorite layouts from this kit. I loved the idea of using those little candy dot embellishments and keeping the embellishing on a diagonal so that’s what I did. This layout was really easy to make. There isn’t a process video for it.

These next two PL pages will go next to the above one of our puppy that we brought home in August.

For this layout I wanted to use up that lemon background paper, but I didn’t want it to stand out so much so I covered it up with some gesso. I really love the look! I also did some simple layering behind the photo and across the layout and s few different clusters with embellishments. You can find the process video here.

For this layout I used some photos of my oldest son Jonas at swimming lessons last year. I love the 3 clusters of summer goodness embellishments. I thought I was so cleaver using the 2 different wood veneers as my title. This layout has a process video you can find here.

The title for this layout is the little flair badge that says ‘We Make a Great Pear’. I just though it was so cute and had to include it. I got the inspiration for this layout from Hannah Lemieux on YouTube. You can find her layout here. My process video for this layout is on my channel here.

I made this layout for a challenge issued by Hannah Lemieux during my week long school themed layout celebration. The photos are of some drawings my middle son, Brynnan, made for his 3rd grade teachers end of the year present as well as the little cupcake box I made for her with my Silhouette Cameo. Hannah’s challenge was to use scraps that were on your desk so I decided to use the branding strips from the papers in the kit and a few other scraps from the kit. There isn’t a video for this layout, either.

This layout I made as a challenge with 2 fellow YouTube friends. We challenged ourself to use a sketch and I kind of made the sketch my own and I love how it turned out! You can find the process video on my channel here. You can also find the layouts that Roni Sue Scrapper and Jennifer Cambridge made by clicking on their names.

I made this layout for a Crafty Maven Getaway video. This one didn’t turn out as great as I had hoped, but I still like it. I’m glad I was able to use up most of that flamingo acetate!  The 2 papers that I mounted the photo on are actually from the Shimelle True Stores collection, but I like how they made the photo pop off the page so that’s why I used them. Also, I didn’t have any other papers left in the kit to use! lol

You can find the video for this layout here.

I made this layout right as I was putting my kit away. I didn’t think I could get another layout done, but I proved myself wrong! I’m so glad I did. I love this simple layout and how I used up a lot of that pineapple washi tape. This one took about 30 minutes, if even that, and I don’t have a video for it because I made it on a whim and didn’t press record. Sometimes I just feel like I need to not record every layout I make. It gives me a little more freedom.

So, that is what I made with the August Clique Kit! I LOVED this kit! I made 12 layouts and 3 PL pages (front and back). I am missing a couple pages I think, so if you want to see all of the layouts in order please wath the video at the beginning of the post.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!!
