This week is going to be a little different. Some of you already know, my grandma died last wednesday and I’m flying out to her funeral on Thursday. Because of this I probably won’t be posting a lot this week or next week, if I post at all. I hope I can get some posts written up before I leave and schedule them for the next week or so, but I’m not promising anything.

Grandma was my first relative that died that I’ve been really close to so the past few days have been hard. If you want to read more about her you can visit my family blog.

So, my organizing efforts are going to be slim to none this week. I’m planning on cleaning the house pretty good since it really needs it and it probably won’t get done while I’m gone. I’m leaving the kids with my husband for the week and I’m sure they won’t be into cleaning much.

Day -1 Deep clean the kitchen (and finish the photography session I did last week)

Day 2 – Deep clean the bathrooms

Day 3 – Vacuum the house really good. Pack for trip and do laundry.

What is your definition of deep clean? Mine is to clean the room better than I ever have before. I’m a swiffer sweep and mop kinda girl so that’s all I ever do. I NEVER use a bucket of water and a mop. It’s too hard and time consuming. This week I’ll do the normal routine with the swiffer in the kitchen and bathroom, but then I’m also going to get down on my hands and knees and wash the floors the old fashion way. They really need it and it will make me feel clean for more than five minutes!! 🙂 Part of deep cleaning the kitchen will also be to get rid of all the papers that have accumulated on our half wall  area by the stairs and the table. It’s driving me crazy!!

And on Thursday I’m flying to LA in the morning. I really wish we had enough time to all drive down or enough money to all fly, but we don’t!!:P It will be nice for me to visit with my family and have time with them to remember Grandma!
