Sewing Saturday ~ Half Finished Projects

I have a special treat for you today! I don’t normally show you what I’m working on before it’s done. Sometimes I’ll show you in the process pictures, but never half-finished and probably-not-going-to-finish-for-a-while pictures:) A blog that I link up with every now and then posted on my facebook page about a link party they’re having on half-finished projects. I thought it was such a great idea I wanted to join in so here we are!

First, I’m going to start off with a sewing project I started back at the end of November, early December. I was testing a pattern for Peek-a-Boo Pattern shop, but I think the pattern was a little too advanced for this beginner. I am still about 7 steps from finishing, but I just can’t get up the nerve to pick it up again!! It was on my 30 sewing projects before I turn 30 list, but I scratched it off because it was stressing me out to think of it being on there and failing my goal to reach 30 projects because of that one pattern!

Next up, we have my husbands Christmas present, the Snorlax Bean Bag. This is what it looks like now.

UGH! This one is stressing me out too!! I knew it was going to be a challenging project, but I didn’t know it was going to be THIS hard!! I at least have the head attached in a better way now, but I have yet to attempt attaching the arms and feet and then I have to close up the bottom.

I recently told you that I have to fix Brynnan’s winter PJ’s since I made them a size too small. Those are still sitting in the unfinished pile along with Jonas’ cut out fabric for the same winter pj’s.

Those poor boys!! I was going to start them last weekend and it just didn’t happen, BUT I did make them some fun superhero capes. At least that made them happy! 🙂

I also have a couple scrapbooking pages in the works, which I can’t even show you because they’re burried under the mess that is my scrapbooking desk. I really need to clean it off! Once I can do that I want to start doing more paper scrapbooking and card making every week. I’m really looking forward to that, but just like my half-finished projects, who knows when I’ll get to cleaning that desk off! LOL

So, there you have it, my unfinished projects. I think my problem is that I don’t have a deadline. When I’m testing a pattern and having to get the pictures to the designer by a certain date that motivates me to work and get it done. A lot of the time it is very last minute, but, what can I say, I’m a procrastinator.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend so far!
