I’ve been planning this project for a long time! At least since Valentine’s Day! But, even though I LOVE crafting, I’m a procrastinator. I finally sat down and did it on Sunday. I LOVE how they turned out! And they turned out better than I thought they would! That’s always a wonderful triumph:)
I found this pin on pinterest and fell in love immediately. I was in the garage soon after finding the pin and found 3 canning jars. I figured I could use them, instead of buying new vases! I LOVE it when I find a frugal way to craft! Creating something with what I already have is a great way to do that.
I started out with 3 canning jars and 3 different green paints.
I was nervous about screwing up this project. I don’t know why. It was easy! I knew it was easy, but I have a way of turning easy things into really hard things! I guess you could say it’s one of my talents:)
Do you like the glob of paint on the right side there? Yeah, I don’t use my paints a lot.
It took a couple of days for the paint to dry. Actually, I’m still not quite sure it’s completely dry! The darker green in the back LOOKS dry, but my 2 year old ran up and touched it a couple days ago and got paint all over his fingers. I had to turn the jar around to the side because you can kind of see wear he had his little accident.
This is all of my St. Patty’s day decor. It’s kind of sad, but I’m hoping to spruce it up some more next year! 🙂
Can you see the smear? LOL It’s all good fun:) We’re making memories, right? I just LOVE the small jar. I found glitter paint at a local craft store on sale and so I bought it with no idea what I’d use it for. I was SO excited to use it on this project!! I was afraid it would be too light, but after drying I think it looks perfect!!
I’m sure you noticed I started out with 3 jars and paint colors… well, I ditched the medium size jar because the color I painted it didn’t match these two. I’m ok with it, too. I think I’m going to do an Easter jar this weekend with that one. Can you believe Easter is only 2 weeks away?!! Yeah, me neither! Time just goes by way too fast when you’re an adult!!
Well, I hope you enjoyed this project as much as I did! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
Where did you get that cute framed kiss me quote? Adorable !!
Oooh fun! I like that sparkly green!
I love it too! 🙂 I’m not a huge fan of glitter since its so messy, but the paint isn’t so it worked out great!!
Oh my heck, Easter is TWO WEEKS AWAY?? You just threw me into a panic attack! Haha! Cute jars, Megs. I love them.
LOL Kar! Sorry about that! At least it’s not just a week, right? 🙂
