While I was in CA visiting family I did some card making with my cousin, Aubry. She has a Cricut, which I have fallen in love with *GASP* I know! I didn’t think I would like it as much as the silhouette!! But I DO!!
Don’t worry, I still LOVE my Silhouette! I haven’t done much since I got back, but I did make a card for a friend last week and I really like how it turned out:
I used a little piece of left over ribbon and some triangle buttons I’ve had forever. I didn’t want to use cardstock because then I’d have to glue on the letters and that gets messy. I used my pink vinyl which made it a lot easier!! It’s simple, but cute and straight to the point.
I love it! I used hot glue to stick the ribbon and buttons down because it’s my favorite fast drying glue:)
Here are some pictures of the ones that I made at Aubry’s house:
I made 8 cards total. I could’ve made a lot more, but we watched movies while doing it and I get distracted easily. I guess that’s where my kids get it from 🙂
Aubry had all sorts of fun embellishments and ribbons.
I love the sayings they had. I don’t have many of those on my Silhouette yet, but I’ll get there:) Aubry had about 3 cartridges I think. It was fun to go through them and pick out what I wanted to use.
I really love the pink happy birthday font. CUTE!:)
My favorite one is the pink one and I added a flower with a rhinestone in the middle. I like the stair effect it has. On the one on the right I like the simple plain look. Again! 🙂 It makes like easier.
So there are some recent cards I’ve made. I’ll be going back to CA to visit for a month so I promise there will be more:) And I’m going to be doing some scrapbooking pages too, hopefully so you’ll get to see them too.
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you’re having a great weekend!
