I was browsing pinterest a couple weeks ago and I found this cute business card holder and just had to make it!:)
Really cute, right?
So, I picked out my fabric from some scraps and cut it to the right measurements and got to work pinning and sewing. You can find the full tutorial at The Crafty Cupboard.
First you hem the pockets, which are the yellow fabric.
I added the back fabric and an elastic hair tie.
I cut the corners and then sewed the sides up, leaving a gap to turn it right side out.
Here’s the holder after I turned it inside out.
I put my cards in to test it out and it worked good enough. I was a little confused by the instructions so it didn’t turn out exactly the way I wanted. My plan was to have the patterned fabric on the outside, but I was also watching the TV show ’24’ so I got a little side tracked while pinning it together. LOL
I’m going to make more of them. Next time I won’t leave so much of the hair tie out. It’s a little too loose, but it works ok.
I had fun making this cute business card holder. I haven’t done any sewing since I made this and it’s been killing me. I’ve just been so busy. I think I might take my sewing machine with me to California, but I don’t know if we’ll have enough room. I have a lot of things I want to bring…
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope your Tuesday is going well!
