The day isn’t over yet so I can still post my fashion “tip”for you today. I’ve been thinking about this since yesterday trying to figure out what I wanted to post about. My baby, who is 20 months now, has recieved a lot of clothes from a friend of mine who’s son is 3. It has been great because there weren’t many pants or long sleeve shirts for him for the winter. Well, we just got home on Wednesday night, as you know, and I hadn’t started unpacking or doing laundry or anything so I dressed Tinian in a very worn pair of jeans yesterday:
He had fun rolling around his crib in these wonderful pants of his:)
And inspected them
He kept rolling away and mostly out of the picture.
A lot of fun was had at the expense of these holey jeans.
I don’t normally think holey jeans (or any holey pants) are cute, but for some reason, these jeans looked so adorable on him!! No, I didn’t get any better pictures of him so you can se the whole effect, but that’s what you get with a crazy 20 month old!:)
What are your thoughts on holey jeans or pants? I have always either thrown them out or patched them up. In fact, Brynnan got a hole in one of his pant while we were at my mom’s house and she was so kind to patch it and sew it back up:) Here they are:
Looks pretty good right? Can you tell which leg the hole was in?
This is what it looks like up close. I like how she sewed in a zig zag pattern. She also used green thread because she thought the pants were green. LOL So now they look all grungy and cool, at least I think so:)
What do you do when your kids get holes in their pants? Do you let them be? Do you patch them up? Do you trade them in for new ones? Did you know that some stores will let you return the holey pair for a new pair if you have the receipt? I asked Old Navy and they said they would do that. I’ve heard that Sears and Shopko does the same thing. that’s pretty Cool!! Brynnan can rip through a pair of jeans in a matter of weeks after getting them!! It’s so frustrating!!
I definitely wouldn’t wear holey jeans myself. I don’t think I could pull it off. Have you ever done it before?
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
I love patches!
Um, I throw them away. Because I don’t have time to patch stuff. Bad, I know. I’m always like, “I’ll get some more for $7 at Wally’s.” Time is money, right?
