Mixed Media Techniques with Get It Scrapped

Hello and happy tuesday my scrappy friends!! I hope you’re having a great week so far! I am finally getting back into the swing of life, so that’s good! I’ve also been able to do a little bit of scrapbooking over the past few days which has been so fun! A week or more off and I am needing me some crafty time!!

Ok, let’s jump right into this layout!! I absolutely LOVE mixed media and I try to do at least a little bit of it on every layout. I usually stick to mists and sometimes texture or modeling pastes, but for this layout I wanted to go out on a limb and do something different.

My scrappy bestie, Hannah Lemieux, made this gorgeous layout and I knew I just had to scraplift it!! You can watch her video here.

Isn’t it just so pretty?!! Here is my own version of the layout:

I LOVE how it turned out!! So much fun! The 2 methods of mixed media that I decided to use was water colors and dazzlerz modeling paste from Shimmerz Paste.

I love this little title cluster at the top. I did some modeling paste flowers on the background as well as one on a scrap piece of white cardstock to layer on top of the doily. The doily and sequins are from the SpiegelMom scraps shop.

I painted more flowers on the background and layered the ones I painted on scrap paper around the photo.

Don’t you just love this photo?!!! This is my son Jonas when he was about 4 years old. I just absolutely love that smile of his! He was always ready for me to take his photo and he still is pretty good about me photographing him, even at his ripe old age of 12.

This is another cute cluster of sequins and scrap paper flower. I used these cute little Clique kits exclusing word phrase stickers to complete this one.

So many flowers on this layout!! And I love it! I don’t often use flowers because I feel like they’re too girly, but for this layout I just went to town!

This black and white polka dot ribbon was from my December Clique Kits kit and I love how it just makes everything else pop and draws your eye into the photo.

I wanted the sequins to follow the line of journaling that I will write up once I decide what I want to write. I might write a little letter to Jonas and stick this one in his album.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! You can watch my process video below on my YouTube channel. I hope you!
