Pinterest Pick ~ KCW Winter Jammies

Ok, so I have had many a bumps this week as I’ve been sewing up the cute little suits for my friends kids! AGH!! I didn’t haven’t finished them yet and I might have to do some touch ups after trying them on her boys. I’m hoping to finish them this morning so I can see how they fit the boys and then fix any size discrepencies. *SIGH* so that kind of threw off my KCW plan. Also, the more I thought about it the more I realized I wasn’t even making anything for my boys that was clothes during the week, so I decided to not sew up the other two projects I had originally planned. I recently bought 2 patterns from Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop (I know, I know, I said I wouldn’t buy anymore, but I’m doing her clothing swap challenge and I don’t have many boy patterns to sew, so I decided it was ok to buy some patterns I would use for my boys and for the boy  I’m sewing for. Did you sign up? I’m so excited about it!)

SO, today I will be spending a couple hours finishing up the suit pants and making some shirts for my boys for the fall. I figured I might as well start making them now because if I don’t, I won’t make them. And I don’t want to have to spend all our money buying new clothes for them this year.

I am also going to make a shirt and some shorts for the pattern swap boy I got assigned to. I can’t wait to see what his mom thinks of what I make! I LOVE sewing for other people.

While I was waiting for new fabric to wash yesterday I whipped up some winter jammie pants for one of my older boys. I had some cute fleece fabric just waiting to be used up for this project! I pinned this simple pj pants tutorial a while ago. I’m glad I finally used it! It was really easy and probably only took about 30 minutes to complete. Of course, I had to do it in about 3 different sittings. I can never sew straight through a project, it’s frustrating, but that’s the life of a Mom, right?!! 🙂

I love how they turned out and they were so easy! Such a quick sew and it made me feel good to actually accomplish something and not have any problems with it!! 🙂

Anyway, what have you sewn up this week? I’d love to see it!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! (Wow, I use a lot of exclamation marks!)
