This week is busy, not only because of the national holiday on Wednesday. My kids and I are packing up to drive to Boise this afternoon, after swimming lessons. My oldest son has some Dr. appointments scheduled for Tuesday. We’ll be driving back on Wednesday morning and get home in time for swimming lessons and our own little 4th of July celebration.OH, and on top of all that I still need to finish their 4th of July shirts… yes, I waited way too long to start them and now I’m regretting it!! But I will get them done today before I leave so I can pack them with us and have my mother-in-law admire them at the least.

We were able to go to a 4th of July celebration on Saturday about an hour and a half away from where we live. It was the first fireworks display we’ve ever taken the kids to and I think it will be the last for a VERY long time!! It was a lot of fun, but none of us slept well in the cabin and Brynnan got sick because of the extreme weather changes (HOT to COLD). So, we enjoyed the fireworks and it really makes me wish it wouldn’t get dark so late in the summer!!

It was awesome!! I can’t wait for them to get a little older so we can enjoy them without the crankiness the next day!

How does your week look? What plans do you have for the 4th?

I think in the way of organizing I’ll be working on one cupboard in my kitchen. I really need to do the whole kitchen because it’s getting out of control fast, but knowing myself pretty well I’ll focus on one cupboard a week for now. The one in particular I’m thinking of has all of our mixing bowls and chopping supplies, etc. in it. I’ll take before and after pictures for you and hopefully they’ll look better after I’m done!! No promises though:)
