Hi, guys!! I’m back with some more scrapbook layouts to share today. I have been doing more challenges with Roni and Jennifer Cambridge has decided to join us! We’ve done 4 challenges so far and will have a new on coming up this Sunday as well so keep an eye out for that process video.
The first layout we did together after a long hiatus was a wood veneer challenge.I had just recently bought the Crate Paper Craft Market collection and LOVED the wood veneer I bought in the collection so I decided to use it. I LOVE the layout!!
I love these pink and turquoise colors together with the burlap and wood veneer! This layout was so much fun to make!!
The next challenge we did was to use up an old kit. Well I have PLENTY of those that I haven’t even touched and I knew exactly the one I was going to use!! I was subscribed to the Studio Calico Project Life and Scrapbook kits for about 8 months total and I had only barely used the kits I had gotten. In June 2014 I kind of went crazy and bought a TON of the add on’s, which I had NEVER used ANY of the whole kit!! YIKES! So, I pulled it out and did a little kit share for you so you could see all the goodies I had to work with for this one layout. It was crazy and a little overwhelming!
This is the layout I created with this huge kit:
I used a Heidi Swapp heart stencil, which wasn’t in the kit and some blue paint. I don’t think those cameras were in the kit either, but everything else was. It was nice to finally make a layout with the kit and I love how it turned out!
The next challenge was to used a sketch. I thought completely out of the box for this sketch!! I had a bunch of circles already cut out from some papers from my August Clique Kit so I decided to use those instead of squares.
This is the sketch we used:
I really wasn’t in love with it at first, but when I realized what I could do with it and put my own spin on it I LOVED it!!
I used the Citrus Bliss collection from the August Clique Kits kit.
We did a brad challenge a few weeks ago and that one really gave me a hard time!! lol You’ll see in my video I go through 2 backgrounds and it was actually more than that! I didn’t put it all on video because it was just too much!
In the end, the layout turned out ok. I’m not too proud of it, but I am glad I got the photo scrapped and the thoughts on my page that I wanted to convey.
The last layout we made 2 weeks ago was a 2 page layout with some embossing on it. I actually made this layout spread at the beginning of the summer and just never finished it so when we decided to do an embossing challenge I asked to throw in the 2 page challenge as well so we did! I LOVE the effect that the clear embossing powder makes in the empty spaces on the layout. This is definitely one of my favorite 2 page spreads!
I used the Good Day Sunshine collection from Simple Stories Summer 2014. I LOVE the bright colors in this collection along with the wood grain.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll be back on Sunday with another challenge layout for you!
