Citrus Twist Kit June 2017 Layout #2 ~ Guest Designer

Hello crafty friends! I have my 2nd layout using the Citrus Twist Kit for June called “Boardwalk”. I am having so much fun using this kit! These papers and embellishments go together so well!

Before we jump to the layout, I want to make sure you know about this awesome deal I have for you guys…. Trina gave me a coupon code for you to use on a NEW kit subscription! I totally wish I could use this code! lol Go to their website and pick the kit you want to subscribe to, add it to your card and use the code, MEGANB25OFF, to recieve 25% off your first month until June 15th!

Ok, now, let’s see this layout!

Artful Leigh posted a fun sketch on the Citrus Twist blog on Sunday and I knew immediately that I wanted to use it. I really love grid style layouts and this one was a good one to work with and put my own little twist on using a 4×6 photo.

Isn’t it such a pretty sketch? I love how simple it is.

I decided to use two of the words from the Elle’s Studio ‘Live Laugh Love’ Puffy Stickers we got in the kit as well as their embellishment pack.

I love using these tags to embellish the layout and bring in more interesting layers. These hearts give a cute little touch.

I LOVED this cute little bird from the ‘Oh My Heart’ chipboard stickers and it fit perfect snuggled in by the title. I also used some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in mint in the clusters.

I will write my journaling above the title in the grid paper, which is the perfect pattern to do straight journaling. If you know me at all, you know I love to keep things perfect.

I stamped the date above this little cluster and added some puffy hearts as well.

This layout was so fun to make! I love putting my own little spin on sketches and I feel like this sketch was a good one to use with these two photos.

Thanks for stopping by! You can watch my process video below and make sure to stop by the Citrus Twist blog for more fun inspiration from the design team. I will also have a tutorial going up there on Tuesday so keep an eye out for that!
