Get It Scrapped ~ Year in Review

Hello hello friends! I hope you have all been getting scrappy! Life has been so crazy lately that I haven’t really found much extra time in the day to do any blogging. I am hoping to start doing it with every video I post on YouTube.

A couple weeks ago I participated in a blog post over at Get It Scrapped. We were asked to come up with a different and creative Year in Review layout. I’ve only made a few in my scrappy life and this one I thought would be fun to use the glassine bags I have that just sit in my stash!  Let’s jump right into the layout….

This is the layout I made for our 2017 year. I picked 6 different months and events that happened in our life last year and a few photos to go along with each even.

I was inspired by an Amy Tangerine branding strip for the title. I found this cute resin flowers and glued them right above the title.

Each tag is place into a glassine bag with the month and journaling on it. Some of the tags have extra photos on them, some have only journaling.

I wanted there to be a focal photo for each of the months so I picked one to be on the outside of the glassine bag with a couple layers of paper.

To make the layout cohessive I used the same patterned paper on each photo cluster.

I also added pink twine to the tags to create more texture and interest.

Here is a look at the front side of the tags.

The event in June was a family reunion we went to. It was way too hard to only pick a couple photos and keep the journaling to one tag so I made the exception of using two tags. I kept them simple to not take away from the photos.

This is the back side of the tags.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my layout using a lot of photos and pieces from my stash!! You can watch my process video below:

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you have a wonderful week!!
