For the Love of Homemade Kits : Layout # 1 (Zebra Peekaboo)

Hello and happy Tuesday!! I hope you’re having a great week so far!! This is going to be a busy one for me, but I’m excited for all the fun things I have planned to share with you!!

Today, Hannah, Felicia and I are sharing the first layout we made with this new kit in our Homemade kit challenge series. Last month it was just Hannah and me doing the challenge together, but this month we have Felicia joining us and we’re excited to have her! You can find my blog post about my new kit here.

Let’s jump right in and get to the layout I made:

I am absolutely in LOVE with how this layout turned out!! I turned to pinterest to get some inspiration for it and I love the results. I kinda made the layout my own. I really love that bottom cluster! I was so excited that I got to use the zebra and it wasn’t a completely random embellishment on a layout, it actually fit what I was scrapbooking about!

I used an Amy Tangerine thin thicker alpha called Cut Out for the title and I absolutely love it! I’m glad I put it in my kit! There’s a little bit of a dark grey color in the dotted washi tape so it went perfect. I’m really glad I was able to use the washi tape in this layout too. I always forget to use washi on layouts so putting it in the kit this time made me nervous. I thought for sure I’d never use it and her I did on the very first layout! I get excited about the silliest things, right? 😉

The tags I used from the kit I made are from Jillibean Soup. I really love that I put them in the kit! They were the perfect addition to the layout. I also used embellishments from a clique kits kit which had a lot of the Maggie Holmes Shine collection. This circle here is actually an exclusive card from the Clique kit that came in the kit.

Last of all I wanted to show you this cluster I put down in the bottom right hand corner. I think it’s my favorite part of the layout. It just came together so well! I really love all the little pieces and how I layered them and fit them together. The zebra is the piece de resistance!
