Hello everyone!! I am back today with my second layout in this new series I am doing with my friend, Hannah Lemieux. Last week we posted out first process video with the homemade scrapbook kit and I am excited to be sharing the second one with you now.
Let’s just jump right in!
I got the inspiration for this layout from nicolejones911 on YouTube. She made a layout with the patterned paper on the top and bottom of the layout like this and I really liked the design of it. I added my photos and made my 3 clusters of embellishments and my layout was done. This layout came together really quickly! I think it only to about 30 minutes! I love quick layouts!
I really liked used the big, black alpha for the word ‘BIG’ and the small alpha for the word ‘imaginations’. I feel like it emphasized the part of the title that was most important, the word ‘Big’
This little cluster at the bottom of the photo is my favorite one on this layout. Just something about the ‘Let’s be happy’ and ‘memories’ stickers make me smile.
I decoded to use 2 different photos from 2 different days and playtimes because I am going to have this be sort of a “title page”. After this page there will be at least 2 other Project Life style pages with tons more photos of my boys playing with their toys and other things around the house. These were 2 of my favorite photos of my boys from all of the ones I was going to put in my album so I made it into a layout. This is something I’ve been doing a lot more lately. If I were to scrapbook every single photo I want in my albums as 12×12’s I would have thousands of albums, no lie!! I take a LOT of photos and I want to scrapbook them ALL (for the most part), even the ones of my kiddos making funny faces and being sad. Those are things I want to remember because it’s a part of them!
Ok, enough of me rambling on, if you’d like to watch my process in making this layout you can find it on my YouTube channel below:
Thanks for stopping by today! I’ll be back next week with my last layout using this homemade kit! I hope you have a great weekend!
