For the Love of Homemade Kits Round 3 Kit Share

Hello and happy monday!! I hope you’re all having a great day so far! I wanted to come and share my new homemade kit with you.

I am doing this kit series on my YouTube channel with a few other friends. Hannah, Felicia Young and Khristina Sorge and I all started out with the same paper and a recipe to follow. Here’s the recipe:

Our Inspiration paper for the whole kit was: Lucy (Amy Tangerine patterned paper from the Rise & Shine collection)

Patterned Papers:

  • Bold Pattern Paper
  • Texture Pattern Paper (watercolor, woodgrain, fabric, etc)
  • Dot/Circle Pattern Paper
  • Freebie Pattern Paper
  • 2 Scraps or 6×6 Papers

Embellishment Recipe:

  • Cut File
  • Stencil
  • 2 Alpha’s
  • Sticker Sheet
  • layered embellishments
  • embellishment pack
  • frames
  • buttons
  • washi tape
  • thread/twine/ribbon
  • freebie embellishment

These are the papers I picked out. I also used a couple pieces of white cardstock as my backgrounds on layouts to help stretch my kit further.

Instead of picking 2 thickers, I decided to use this alpha sheet on the left above. I knew I probably wouldn’t use the pink, red and orange alphas and I was totally right! The sticker sheet I picked was pretty used, I’m hoping I can use it all up. The dark blue/navy alpha doesn’t really match with the rest of the kit so I won’t be using that.

My favorite part of this kit is the embellishments!! I had a lot of fun picking them out. This time around I tried to keep the embellishments to a minimum because I really don’t use a whole lot on my layouts. The last couple kits I’ve had a ton of left over embellishments and it makes me feel like I didn’t do a good job using the kit.

You can watch my kit share video below and I will be back on Tuesday (tomorrow) with my very first layout process video for this kit.

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you have a great scrappy week!
