Hello, hello scrappy friends! I hope you’re all having a great week so far! My boys have Science camp this week so I am actually going to get some work done while they’re gone for 3 hours each afternoon!! Woohoo!
Ok, let’s move onto the layout I created with this months kit!
I had used the middle of the woodgrain paper on my first layout so I had to cover up that area. I decided to just put my photos in the middle because of that and layered the papers behind it.
I really love the title for this layout. I wanted to use that turqoius alpha, but I didn’t have enought t’s and e’s so I had to make my own. It wasn’t quite as easy or pretty as I hoped it would turn out, but oh well. I still love the title!
I kept this bottom cluster of embellishments really simple. I eventually want to use the lines of washi tape for journaling so I didn’t want to go too crazy with the embellishments around them.
I bought these layered flower embellishments forever ago!! I think it was 2012! I’ve never used them so I was glad I put them in the kit and got to use a few of them on this layout.
I think this little cluster above the title is my favorite of the 3. I’ve noticed lately that I HAVE to have 3 clusters of embellishments, which I never used to do, but I’ve caught on to the “scrapbook rules” in the past years or so. Having 3 clusters really does help your eye flow around the layout.
Here’s an overview of the layout. I really love these photos! Capturing these sweet little moments in our lives is why I scrapbook!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I’ll be back later this week with another Close to my Heart layout so keep an eye out for that post and video! I hope you have a great day!
