Hello scrappy friends!! I hope you all had a great week! Mine has been pretty busy trying to keep up with my kids and all my scrapbooking commitments. I received my product package for March this week and have been having fun using it! I’ll be sharing those projects soon!
First up I am sharing a watercolor Birthday card that I made using the Tombow Mono Correction Tape Retro.
What I did to make this was pull out some water color paper and cut it down to the size I wanted. I started out by drawing the diagonal lines with the correction tape. Once that was all done I pulled out my Heidi Swapp Color Shine and sprayed 3 different colors on the paper. I dabbed off the excess that pooled on top of the correction tape with a baby wipe. And Voila! I got a nice resist look by using the correction tape. I really love the result and will definitely be trying it again!
For my next craft project using the correction tape, I decided to use a cut file as a stencil. You can find the real time video of me demoing this product and making this background below:
Once the background was done I made a layout with it. I really love how it turned out!! You can watch the process video for this layout below:
Here are some close up photos of my layout as well:
These photos are pretty old! They were taken in 2008. My oldest son, Jonas, he’s in the blue shirt and looking at the camera, was 4 years old and such a sweetheart. Brynnan, in the yellow shirt and asleep on the couch, was 2.
I really LOVE looking back on these old photos from when my boys were little. They were so innocent and fun! Don’t get me wrong, my boys are still fun, but it’s a different kind of fun, right? They’re now 11 & 9 years old and mainly want to play video games all day every day, if I’d let them! haha
I wanted to add a cluster up in the top right of the layout so it would feel more balanced.
I think this photo was my favorite, Jonas with his arm around his sleeping brother. So sweet! I added the little wood veneer heart to emphasis the word love and the flower gave it that little extra touch it needed.
I had a hard time coming up with the title for this layout. I don’t really like generic titles, but all I could come up with was”So Sweet” or “Sweet Boy”. I turned to facebook and asked my scrappy friends what they thought and it was so helpful!! They helped me explore the deeper meaning of the photos. Watch the video if you’d like to hear the story behind these photos. (Hehe, am I evil for not just telling you?!)
I’m really happy with this layout and I love the look of the correction tape sticking out from behind the photos at the top. I hope you enjoyed seeing a different way you could use Tombow Correction Tape!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!
