Hello again my scrappy friend!! I hope you’re all having great day!! Christy, Hannah, Katty and I have our new layouts up today with Katty’s challenge. She wanted us to use mixed media on our layouts. I found this layout I liked on Pinterest and made it fit my style.
Here’s my layout:
I had SO much fun making this one!! I had these photos of my mom from her wedding to my dad and I really wanted to scrapbook with purples and pinks so they were perfect to use!
The title came as a surprise to me. I had no idea what I was going to name the layout because my parents are divorced, so obviously, it really isn’t the best thing to happen to our family. BUT, I decided that for me, seeing them married is a dream and one of the best kinds. I don’t remember them being married, but I have seen photos and I remember how happy I was as a child so I know it was a good marriage, but life has a way of turning upside down sometimes.
I had these cork butterflies from the SpiegelMom Scraps store and some pretty sequins so I decided to use them on the layout and I LOVE how they look!!
I made a trail of sequins underneath each of the three butterflies with pink and purple sequins.
I also used some felt feathers from the SpiegelMom Scraps store. I love how they look here in this cluster under the title.
You can watch my process video below:
Thanks so much for stopping by!! I hope you enjoy watching my process on this layout. I really had a lot of fun doing the mixed media on the background and all the trial and error I went through.
