SpiegelMom Scraps December Blog Hop & Product Reveal

bloghopheader

Hello everyone and welcome to our Sparklers Unit blog hop! I am here today to share a fun layout I made with some of the new products that Jody came out with this month. I am so in LOVE with all of the new sequin mixes!! A lot of them she made to go along with some of the new collections that have been coming out recently.

The Sparklers are split into two teams; The Blog Squad and the YouTube Squad.  Each month we come together to hang out here and bring you some great tips, technique and inspiration!  For this hop, you should have arrived here from Beth’s blog. Don’t you just LOVE her layout?!! It turned out so gorgeous!

Here’s the line up for today’s hop:

Crafty Meggy   >>>>YOU ARE HERE<<<<
Now let’s take a look at my little project I made for today! I am really excited about this cute little album. I have been wanting to make one since I got my first design team package from Jody back in August. She gave me a ton of glassine bags that would be perfect to make a mini album.

This is the front cover. I went with a cliche title because it was easy. I’m horrible at coming up with titles! I really love how it turned out!!
This is the first page. I stuck with 3 main colors, Grey, Pink and light blue/teal.

I used the new Build a Snowman sequin mix. I think this is one of my favorites out of the new mixes!! I had a little scrap piece of a doily so I decided to use it to cover up the cars in the top left hand corner of the photo. It worked out perfectly!!
I made this page a 6×6 and embellished it with more sequins.
I love how the colors of the sequins in this mix go so well again this cork background paper.
For this page I decided to glue the photos onto a background paper and glue that onto the top of the glassine bag. I LOVE how it looks!
I cute this paper out in the shape of the bag. I thought it would look cool to do journaling on the photo so I used my Slick Writer Marker.
For the last page I decorated a glassine bag with Shimmerz Paints Texturez in The Tide That Binds.
Here’s a little closer look at the texturez on the glassine bag. I really LOVE it!!
