Tombow Irojiten Colored Pencils ~ Welcome Baby Card

Hello crafty friends!! I hope you all had a wonderful week and are enjoying your weekend! I am working on a few different posts for this weekend because I’ve been seriously slacking off on posting on my blog! lol This week has been a super busy week for me with crafting and YouTube. It’s been nice to have a video posted almost every day this week! If you aren’t subscribed to my channel make sure to go on over and subscribe so you can see whenever I upload a new video. The past week has been super busy with NSD coming up I’ve been working like crazy to get a lot of projects done.

Ok, let’s move on and I will show you the cute little card I made.

I used a pre-cut card base that I bought from Michaels in an 8 pack. I pulled out some old, old, old striped paper in a boyish color because the person I’m going to be giving this card to is having a boy. I believe it was from We R Memory Keepers, but it is really old so I’m not completely sure.

I cut out a circle on white Close to my Heart paper and stamped the giraffe using my Staz on black ink pad. I absolutely LOVE this ink! It’s my favorite black ink right now and I use it on everything. The stamp I used is called Animal Greetings from Close to my Heart. This stamp is an outline one so the giraffe wasn’t colored in. My Tombow Irojiten Colored Pencils came in handy and turned out looking great! I think this is going to be a new favorite technique of mine.

Here’s a closer look at the little stamped images. For the Welcome Baby stamp I used a Close to my Heart ink pad called Lagoon and the stamp set is called Balloon Wishes and it is also from Close to my Heart. I really love how easy it is to color with these colored pencils. I also love how vibrant they are and their coverage is great!

I used thread and 3d pop dots to pop up the little circle on the card. I really like using pop dots to give a little bit of dimension and more interest to the card. I inked the edge of the circle with Goldrush ink from Close to my Heart and that also helps it stand out and off the background.

This card was super simple to make and I am really happy with how it turned out! If you would like to watch me as I make this card you can find the process video on my YouTube channel.
