Last week was a good week. I finished organizing all my food and paper products. I mopped the floor around the laundry area and vacuumed up all the dust and threw away all the run away anti-static sheets. It was a good week. My hubby even helped out by cleaning off the top of the dryer. I tend to leave out the fabric softener and oxi clean and other cleaning stuff on there so it gets all crowded and unorganized. He had to put up a new vent coil thing on the dryer on Saturday so he just cleaned it off. I clean the washer on the lid and lip area on the inside because it was all dusty and filthy. How does it get so dirty there? It’s used to WASH clothes, to wash away the dirty! so weird to me.

Anyway, this week will be a pretty laid back one in organizing endeavors. My kids and I are going on a 3 week vacation to visit my mom and family in Illinois. We leave on Wednesday morning to drive down to Salt Lake City. We’ll meet up with my little brother who’s in college down there and then head to the airport. I’m nervous about flying with 3 kids by myself, but it’s a night flight so I’m hoping the baby will sleep most of the time and the older boys can play their DS’s when we’re in the air and while we’re waiting in the airport at least.

I’m also thinking I’ll go buy a new toy for each of them that they can open and play with while we’re on the airplane. I’ll make sure to pack plenty of snacks and other fun things to do for Tinian.

I really want to do some blogging and picture taking while I’m over there, but I’m going to have my hands full already I can’t add on my huge camera bag AND a laptop bag!! I’m really bummed about that! So I’m trying to think of solutions for that. I don’t want to put either of them in my checked luggage for fear they will be damaged. Maybe I could come up with a backpack system thing that wouldn’t be too heavy or uncomfortable for them? I don’t know. All I do know is that I’m going to be carrying Tinian most of the time and both my camera and laptop are pretty heavy. I know I can use my mom’s computer, but there’s something comforting about using your own, you know?

So Monday and Tuesday I’ll be busy doing laundry and packing and shopping. JOY Joy joy!:) I can’t wait for it to be Thursday!
