Kids Clothing Week Day 4!

Holy COW!! Is it really already THURSDAY?!! Day 4 of KCW??!! I’m not even halfway through with my sewing and we are already halfway through the challenge week. *SIGH*

I am NOT giving up yet!! This week isn’t over until Sunday at midnight so I will press on and get this sewing done! AND have fun while doing it! I haven’t been doing a lot of sewing this year yet so even the little bit I’ve done this week has be so great! SO much fun getting back into it! I need to find a balance between scrapbooking/crafting and sewing. I don’t just want to do one or the other, but that seems to be what I do.

Anyway, I’ve sewn together one pair of shorts for a baby:

I actually finished these on Monday. Woohoo! I felt great about getting one pair done on the very first day! I haven’t had a whole lot of spare time to do anything fun for myself this week so that was good to get one done the first day.

Tuesday I was able to get halfway done with 5 more shorts:

I decided that instead of doing one pair of shorts at a time I would do all the same side sewing first and then hem them and put the waste and elastic in last. That way I felt like I was accomplishing more because I was going through more than one pair of shorts in an hour.

I hope I can finish up these shorts today and if I can do that I will be able to start on the pillowcase dresses on Friday. I can DO this! 🙂

What have you been up to in the crafty department of life? I hope you’re having a great week!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Good Job Meg! I have only made 1 pillowcase dress so far! I combined the pattern from last year with the new one she wants this year, so they don’t have the ribbon straps. It felt good to finish one! My goal is to make another one today!
