Hello scrappy friends!! I am back with a fun layout I made for the April Scraplift Challenge over at Paper Issues. I am so excited about this challenge!! We scraplifted Cassie for this one and her layout is just gorgeous!
I love it, don’t you?!!
I also scraplifted the background on this art journal page by Katty Miranda. Isn’t it just so pretty?!! I love the watercoloring!
This is the layout I ended up making. I am so in love with it!! The background was just perfect for this Easter photo of my kids doing an egg hunt in the backyard.
I pulled a few things from my stash that were kind of old. The butterfly is from Prima I believe and it’s actually a mistable embellishment, but I decided I liked the pop of white since the background was so colorful and all the patterned papers brought in color as well.
I had this wood veneer in my stash as well. I decided to stamp the date on a white scratch piece of paper and glue it behind the wood veneer. With all of the patterned papers behind the photo I felt that this was the best way to make the date visible.
I added a second butterfly in the title cluster along with some buttons and a wood veneer star.
I love all the layers and patterned paper I used behind the photos. I changed up the layering behind my photo quite a bit and I love it! I tried to stick with using scrap papers from my stash and that was a lot of fun to stretch myself that way.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my version of the layout. It was so fun to make! I also have a process video, which you can watch below:
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you have a great Hump Day!!
