Hello again wonderful crafty friends! I hope you had a great weekend! I am back again today with a layout I made for Cheeky Studio. I absolutely LOVE this adorable Pirate ephemera pack! I decided to use the facebook groups sketch as my very loose inspiration for this layout. If you use the sketch make sure to come show us a picture in the group and you will be entered in a chance to win a store gift certificate.

And this is my take on the sketch. Since I wasn’t making a lovey dovey layout I felt the tic tac toe theme was a bit different than what I wanted to do for my layout. Instead, I took inspiration from the lines. I created a vertical line with the arrow patterned paper and then stitched horizontal lines with red embroidery floss.

I then added embellishments all over the layout. I absolutely love this cute banner from the ephemera pack and the parrot flair button! I added some of the sequins from the Mermaid Tails mix

I added a little journaling and cluster by the photos.

I love the cute little boy ephemera pieces that come in the pack. I used this boy with black hair because the kid from the TV show I talk about in the journaling has black hair.

I love this little cluster by the photo with ephemera and sequins.

Last, I needed a title and cluster so I used the ‘Sweet Boy’ wood veneer piece but added the word ‘Birthday’ in between it to have a complete title. The word ‘ahoy’ comes in the ephemera pack so I thought that would be perfect to add on there as well.
