Ok, enough chattering, let’s jump into my layout! Let me tell you, this one was a LABOR of love! I wanted it to be so perfect because this is going to set the tone for my year right?!! (Don’t you hate when you do that to yourself?!) Our theme for our layouts today was ‘New Beginnings’. It was perfect for the first of the year and also I have a lot of motivation to write out new goals and actually do them, for a few weeks, right?

Anyway, I am happy with the layout I ended up making, so here it is:

My husband took this picture of me on January 1st actually so it was the perfect photo for this layout I wanted to make documenting my goals for 2018.

I have decided that this is the year that I will get back to being a good mom and housewife. I have become very lazy over the last few years that I have gotten into the world of YouTube and scrapbooking. That is going to END!! My first step toward achieving this goal was to pick out a word/phrase to inspire me throughout the year. I hemmed and hawed over this for quite a few weeks. I ended up deciding to go with a phrase because it really makes me stop and consider what to do. In most cases I end up saying, “Just do it!”

I thought it would be inspiring to add a quote to help me with my phrase. I recently signed up for an email list for a lady I watch on IG stories all the time. You need to check her out! I loved this quote she has on her facebook group I am a member of.

I really don’t like my own handwriting so I found a cute font on my computer and typed up all of my goals. I decided to break them into 2 categories, Home & Family and Crafty. I am really happy with the final list I have and feel they are doable goals for the year.

I ended up using the Valentine’s Day Ephemera pack 1 that has flowers and feathers to embellish around my photo. I had a lot of excess space I needed to cover up and using these pretty flowers worked perfect!! I also added a few of the cute bows and sequins that come in the Valentine’s Day mixed media kit. The floral flair badge comes with the main kit.

I hope that you enjoyed hearing about my layout. I really love how it came out!! I am excited to get going on reaching my goals this year and am thinking I will display this layout in my room to consistently remind me what I’m working for this year.
