Hello scrappy friends! I am up on the GIS blog today with a sketch layout. I really love how this one turned out! You can find the post here with the other layouts the creative team members made as well as mine.

This is the sketch, made by Debbie Hodge for Get It Scrapped. If you’ve never visited her website, you should come on over! I really love all the classes and everything she has to offer with her membership.

This is the layout I made with the sketch. I decided to only use 5 photos and the rest of the spots I filled with paper and journaling.

I used an old Pink Paislee Christmas/Winter themed collection, which was perfect for these photos. For the title I used ‘Marquee’ thickers from American crafts.

I had a lot to say in the journaling spot so it kind of spilled over more than I had wanted it too, but I’m glad that I wold the whole story.

I kept my embellishing to a minimum so you can focus on the photos as you look around the layout.

I really love that I decided to layer more than one pattern paper behind the main photo on the left. I love that they bring your eye to that photo first and then the title.

I really love capturing these fun winter memories of my boys!

You can watch the process video below and the blog post is over on Get It Scrapped here.
