Hello scrappy friends!!! I hope you’re having a great day so far! I wanted to come on and share the first layout I made for my Homemade Kit series I’m doing with some friends on my YouTube channel. This kit was a little bit different for me. I wasn’t quite sure about the papers I picked out, but I really LOVE this layout!
For this layout I had an idea in my head that I saw from a YouTube friend, MaggieMylow, where she layered about 5 or 6 papers with only a little bit of each paper showing:
As You can tell, my layout went a completely different direction, but I like that I did my own thing with it and made it my own layout.
My title for this layout is ‘Dream on Baby’. I had the word dream in the embellishment pack that I included in my kit. The other words in the title were part of the alpha sticker sheet I had in the kit as well.
I love the red and teal colors together on this layout! I also used some Shimmerz Paints Dazzlerz dimensional paste in the color ‘Licorice Stick’, which is black, and a Tim Holtz stencil. The paste kind of got smudged under the stencil, but it actually didn’t turn out that bad. I like the way it looks.
This is a photo of my last baby, Tinian, when he was born. I believe it was a day or 2 after he was born when we were still at the hospital. I thought it was a really sweet photo and am glad I documented it with this homemade kit. He’s now almost 6 and I just can’t believe how fast time has gone by!!
I kept the clustering and layering of papers very simple on this layout. I really liked these 2 ephemera pieces and clustered them together with a little piece of the dimensional paste there as well.
I love this little cluster with some of the ephemera pieces and a cut apart that says ‘just lovely’.

Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you’re having a great scrappy week!
