Hello scrapbookers! I don’t know about you but I have been jumping for joy and enjoying the PEACE at my house from 8:15am to 2pm!! This week has been amazing with the kids back in school and I’ve gotten a bit more done than usual. I cannot wait to keep this up!!
Anyway, I know you didn’t come to read about how amazing it is to have the kids back in school so let’s jump into this new series I am doing with some YouTube friends. Sara Scraps decided to do a school hop this year so I am joining her along with some other amazing YouTuber’s. I will be sure to link to their videos in the description of the video on YouTube at the end of this post.
I decided to combine this school layout with a Paper Issues Facebook Challenge. This was a layout that their DT member made and I just love it. I decided to scraplift it!
This is the layout I made and I’m so in love with it!! It makes me so happy!
I love this little cluster up here in the top left. The banners worked out perfect with the cute pompom trim I had in a giveaway box. I’m so glad I haven’t given it away yet! I think I might keep it now. lol
I was so excited to be able to use up some really old school themed products! I also added the big ‘YAY’ ephemera from the new Maggie Holmes ‘Carousel’ collection.
I added the date of the first day of school above that photo.
The last day of school date is above that photo and then I used a phrase rotary stamp above the middle photo.
The ‘school days’ wood veneer is super old and I was so happy to use it up!!
For the title I decided to use vellum and stamp using a set from Close to my Heart called Polka Dot Alphabet.
I kept this layout a little more simple. I really love how it came out.
