Hello my scrappy friends! I hope you’re all having a great 4th of July!! It has been a fun day for us and is almost over. We’re going to see the fireworks show that our city puts on in just a little bit, but I wanted to get this video up for you before the day was over.
The Counterfeit Kit Club does something called Forgeries on the Fourth where they share some DIY pieces the design team “forged” to mimic something in the inspiration kit.
This is the kit we used as a model for our own. I saw the cute swirly die cuts in the bottom right had corner and decided that I would make my own version of them. I found a cut file from the Silhouette store and also a feather cut file from The Cut Shoppe that I wanted in my kit. I made them into a sketch file to use my sketch pens with and then cut them out.
These are how my swirls and feather die cuts turned out. I really love them and can’t wait to use them in my kit!!
I got the swirls from the Silhouette Design Store.
I got the feathers from The Cut Shoppe.
You can find the Counterfeit Kit Club blot here with the other forgeries made by the design team. I’m so excited to be working with these fun ladies!
Here’s my Tutorial video you can watch on my YouTube channel:
Thanks for stopping by today!!
I’ve not used my Cameo for sketch and cut yet – might have to give this a try! these are gorgeous!
