Hello friends!! I have another layout for you today. I am playing along with Christy’s 30 days of sketches with this awesome sketch from Creative Scrappers:
I was a little nervous when I first saw this sketch. I don’t often like using small photos on a layout because I feel like you can’t see them well enough. I sat down with 4 photos and I knew immediately that I wasn’t going to be able to stick by the 2×2 size so I embraced that.
This is how my layout turned out! I’m so so so happy with it!! I really LOVE these colors all together on top of this wood grain paper with the triangles.
This little cluster of triangles and sequins with the word ‘run’ from the title is my favorite part of this layout. I just love how it works all together to keep the flow of the photos and embellishments going.
This is another embellished square with the title in it. I kept this one simple, just like the other embellished areas and I think that is what makes this layout so perfect. There is a lot of embellishing going on, but it doesn’t distract your eye away from the photos.
The word ‘plop’ gave me a little bit of trouble because of where I wanted the cluster to go on the bottom. I wasn’t really sure if I liked the uncentered nature of the word between the two bottom photos. In the end I really do love how it looks! It’s perfect and makes me so happy!
I added some journaling lines to the bottom left and top right of the layout. I have a funny story to tell so if I end up needing more room I can always add more lines.
I love these cute labels and tags down here in this cluster. These photos are of my middle son, Brynnan, at one of his baseball games from this summer. He needs to work a little more on learning to slide to a base and these photos are just perfect to tell that story.
Most of these embellishments all came from old pieces in my stash. I love using up things that have been hanging around for a long time so I think that’s another reason why I love this layout so much.
I hope that you have enjoyed looking at this layout with me today! I have a process video for you to watch if you’d like to see that:
Make sure to check out Christy’s video here. I am so happy that I was able to play along with her today in her 30 days of sketches challenge. Thanks for stopping by today!
