COZY EVE | Scrapbooking Store January Kit Layout #1

Hello my Scrappy friends!! I hope you are all well on this Friday afternoon. I am super excited to share today’s layout and process video with you. I am using my January Echo Park kit from The Scrapbooking Store. This kit was so much fun to play with! There’s somethings about winter collections that I just absolutely love.

The Scrapbooking Store kit club always has such amazing kits. They’re super affordable and you get a good mix of papers and embellishments. Check out their blog post about this months kit here. Also, if you’d like to become a member of the club use this link here. I get a little commission from that and would totally appreciate it if you sign up!

Here is my first layout that I made using this kit. I used a challenge from my friend, Sara Scraps, Facebook group. The challenge was posted by Jennifer Gagne and it was a recipe challenge. I LOVE those! Here’s the recipe she gave us:

•5- different pattern papers
•4- different textures (vellum, enamel dots puffy stickers, rubber, twine… any textures your like!)
•3- different collections/designers
•2- photos
•1- mixed media technique or stamping!

I cheated a little bit, because I have 4 photos, but I let it slide because when I print 3×4 photos I usually put 2 of them on 1-4×6, so this really is only 2-4×6 photos, right? 🙂

I pulled in a few items from my stash to get all of the 4 textures I needed; felt stars from WhimsyFox on etsy, Acrylic stars from Color Cast Designs, and a flair badge from Checky Studios. The stickers came from the Sticko sticker sheet in my kit.

The mixed media that I used were some Amy Tan watercolors mixed with a little Art Philosophy concentrated water color in the color Truth. I love the water the splatters look on the papers in each cluster.

This layout was the first 12×12 I’ve made in a while actually. Last year I decided to do 6×8 scrapbook albums and it made me realize how much I just absolutely love the huge canvas of a 12×12 page! I don’t regret doing the whole year in 6×8 because it definitely made scrapbooking the year quite a bit easier. This year I’m definitely going back to 12×12 though.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you’ll take the time to come watch the process video on YouTube!
